How does Excel V™ Laser Work? 

The Excel V™ uses two precise laser wavelengths. The first is the KTP wavelength (532 nm), which treats redness, broken capillaries, and brown spots. The second is the Nd:YAG wavelength (1064 nm), which treats vessels on the face and legs.

Because the Excel V™ combines both wavelengths, it is the most powerful, effective, and innovative laser on the market.

The Excel V™ penetrates the dermis to treat conditions like vascular lesions and brown spots by using heat to either seal blood vessels or to break up discoloration.

Optimal Results 

To obtain even great results, patients often choose to have 2 or more treatments. The timing between treatments can vary but are usually spaced 1 to 2 months apart, depending on factors like the amount of redness being treated.


A substantial reduction in broken capillaries, brown spots, and redness occurs for most patients after only one treatment.


The recovery from an Excel V™ Laser Treatment is minimal. Most patients report having slightly inflamed skin for 2-3 days and those with more sensitive skin experience slightly more downtime than normal.

Laser Treatment 

A slight sting might be felt as the laser treats the skin but minimal discomfort is typically reported and lasts 1/100th of a second. For the comfort of the patient, the device does have a cooling plate.


For the procedure, the Excel V™ laser is passed over the treated area without the need for medications, shots, or numbing cream. The treatment usually takes about 15 minutes to complete.
