Dr. Rosannah Velasquez is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine and completed her Dermatology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. While there, she was able to learn about the latest treatments and procedures for skin cancers and cosmetics.

Passionate About Skincare

However, her passion for dermatology didn’t start there. Dr. Velasquez has a family history of melanoma. Her grandmother and mother both had melanoma, and learning more about these skin conditions and how they can be prevented and treated drove Dr. Velasquez to pursue dermatology.

It wasn’t a straight path to dermatology. Dr. Velasquez first received training in anesthesiology, but missed building relationships with her patients and being able to provide a variety of services with continuity of care.

Dr. Velasquez is excited to join the family at Radiant Dermatology providing skin cancer treatments and expanding on their cosmetic space. Because her grandmother and mother’s diagnoses drive her passion for skincare, she treats her patients like they are family, giving them the highest level of care and attention.

When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Velasquez loves spending time with her friends and family and baking her mom’s carrot cake recipe. She is fluent in Spanish and hopes to provide approachable, relatable skincare to her Hispanic community.
