Younger Looking Hands
Are Within Reach

“We’ve had patients who are very embarrassed and self-conscious about the appearance of their hands. Fortunately, we have many options for customizing our Hand Rejuvenation procedures based on the needs and cosmetic goals of the patient.”

- Liet N. Le, MD

The aging process can result in the skin on our hands becoming very thin, mostly due to a loss of collagen and subcutaneous fat. Discoloration on the hands, such as brown lentigos due to aging or sun damage, can also contribute to the hands having an old and undesirable appearance.

Since women and men often wear very sentimental and costly jewelry and time pieces on their hands and wrists, this causes even more attention to be attracted to the hands. Therefore, when the appearance of the hands results in a person being self-conscious, hand rejuvenation can resolve cosmetic issues while also restoring self-confidence and quality of life.

HAND REJUVENATION

Hand Rejuvenation is a non-surgical and highly customized procedure that we perform in our practice. Depending on the condition of your hands and your cosmetic goals, your treatment plan may include Excel V, Laser Genesis, Restylane® Lyft, or Radiesse®.

Excel V is an innovative laser that can be used to rid the hands of brown discolorations such as lentigos due to aging “age spots” or sun damage. Laser Genesis is a non-ablative Nd:YAG laser that can be used to stimulate collagen production in the hands. To make up for the volume loss that causes hands to have a bony or veiny appearance, Restylane® Lyft and Radiesse® are dermal fillers that are FDA-approved for hand restoration. Both women and men and people of all skin colors are good candidates for our custom-tailored Hand Rejuvenation procedure. An improvement in the appearance of the hands can be noticed quickly following treatment. The length of time that results will last will depend upon the therapies used and the patient’s unique lifestyle. Post-procedure, results can be maintained and prolonged by following our suggestions for better caring for and protecting your hands.
