Dermal Fillers
Restylane®, Radiesse® & Sculptra®

“Injecting a patient with dermal fillers is a form of art that requires great dexterity, an eye for detail, and also an element of creativity. At times, we will inject more than one product in the same patient to obtain the desired results. For example, we may choose to use Sculptra® to create some deeper volume, and then Radiesse® and Restylane® to fill in all other areas afterwards. Obtaining optimal results sometimes depends on knowing how to best combine different products for the benefit of the patient!”

- Liet N. Le, MD

Cosmetic injections, which are also referred to as cosmetic injectables and dermal fillers, are the very best non-surgical solution for adding fullness to the face, enhancing shallow contours in the face, and reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers can also be effectively utilized for lip augmentation and hand rejuvenation.

At Radiant Dermatology & Aesthetics, we extensively researched each dermal filler that we use, as we believe in providing our patients with only the very best medical grade products on the market. For this reason, we are proud to offer cosmetic injections with Restylane®, Radiesse®, and Sculptra®.

ALL ABOUT SCULPTRA®

Sculptra® is an injectable collagen dermal filler. It is composed of poly-L-lactic acid, which is absorbed naturally by the body. Since natural collagen that is present in young and healthy skin dissipates over time, Sculptra® is an effective aesthetic solution that is FDA-approved for replacing volume loss by treating nasolabial folds (the folds between the nose and mouth) using a deep dermal grid pattern (cross-hatch) technique. We also use Sculptra® to treat the temples, pre-jowl regions, the mid-face area, lateral cheeks and jaw line, and the lateral chin regions in the areas of the marionette folds – which are the creases below the corners of the mouth. Sculptra® is our go-to dermal filler for various types of deeper volume loss.

Sculptra® injections are performed as a minor, non-surgical procedure in our office. Since Sculptra® can be mixed with lidocaine prior to being injected, most patients do not require topical anesthetics or ice packs to remain comfortable. The entire Sculptra® injection procedure takes between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the areas treated and number of bottles injected. For optimal results, the average patient requires one to two bottles per session and at least two sessions spaced a few weeks apart. Results produced by Sculptra® are gradual, as the product stimulates collagen production as it degrades. Sculptra® has been referred to as a “liquid facelift.” Results are remarkable and typically last up to two years.
